Hollygrove’s second annual Norma Jean Gala was certainly a night to remember. Celebrities and Hollywood influencers filled the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, CA on March 18, 2014 to raise money for Hollygrove and its parent company, EMQ FamiliesFirst.

Hosted by Debby Ryan, George Lopez, Diane Ladd, and Busy Philipps, who also served as the Mistress of Ceremonies for the evening, the gala was full of attendees in support of Hollygrove’s children and families in crisis. Also in attendance at the Norma Jean Gala were celebrities including Tia Mowry, Dolvett Quince, Lisa Vidal, and Lori Laughlin. Aiming to help the local youth overcome trauma and succeed in school, the gala raised more than $200,000.

The event featured both a live and silent auction, where the art created by students of Hollygrove’s after school program, “Endless Summer,” was auctioned off. The artwork was outstanding, but what was even more incredible was the opportunity to meet the inspiring artists themselves at the gala.

Other highlights of the night included vegetables from Hollygrove’s “Giving Garden,” which was created to provide the children with awareness of proper nutrition. Additionally, there was an amazing surprise performance by Ruby Stewart, daughter of Rod Stewart and garden-developed Kelly Emberg, which featured the Hollygrove children’s choir.
