They were kind enough to ask me to follow up my presentation with an article in their November newsletter. For those of you who missed it, here are some of my favorite tips to keep you twitter-tastic in 2010.

Officially social media is “an umbrella term that defines the various activities that integrate technology, social interaction, and the construction of words, pictures, videos and audio.” ( In our terms? It’s a place on the Internet where you can interact with your friends, fans and customers through updates, pictures, videos and more. Need just one reason to get networking? Social Media sounds complicated, but once you get the hang of it, you too can be updating, tweeting, engaging and have a one-on-one relationship with your fans, friends and customers, all from your computer or even your mobile phone. I’ve always known that I like to help those in need, but everything little thing I have done in my life has lead me to the road of finally helping people out for a living.

I walked the Avon walk in San Francisco in 2007. To date, it was one of the most amazing experiences in my life. I met some incredible women and was truly touched by everyone who supported me and this cause.

Even after 13 blisters and a long week of recovery, I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything.

For more info, please visit and for two days, walk as one.

I had the chance to visit New Orleans six months after Hurricane Katrina hit and just days before Mardi Gras began. I have never been to such a welcoming city! Clorox and Glad trash bags sponsored Mardi Gras – the first corporate sponsor EVER. Our team, including hometown favorite, Eli Manning, wore gorgeous bright yellow shirts for our pre-Mardi Gras clean up event and were welcomed with hugs, honks and compassionate thank you’s for coming and helping keep the city clean.
